Mungerie House Playground — The New Rouse Hill
ULP was engaged to design and document a new all-abilities playground by Lend Lease and The GPT Group, in association with Arterra Design. We worked in close consultation with the client to achieve a unique and innovative result for the community of Rouse Hill. The results are celebrated below:
“The New Rouse Hill’s innovative and larger than life Mungerie Playground has won the Commercial Landscaping category of the annual Hills Building and Design Awards for 2010.
The recently completed ‘all abilities’ playground caters to children of all ages and abilities and includes exciting, larger than life reptile sculptures as well as a range of dynamic play equipment. Not only is the playground an exciting play experience for children of all ages and abilities, it also boasts excellence in design innovation and sustainable features.
The playground was assessed on its design and aesthetics, as well as materials and plant selection, the playground’s fit within the existing landscape and overall costs involved with the project.
